baby guppies in perrel

net breeder, breeder, or seprate tank.

do you hav to hav a heavily planted tank for them to breed

How warm is it where you are now? In the warmer months here I put fry in a large, heavily planted container outside on the deck in a shady spot. They grow really fast outside, which means you can send them off the the LFS sooner.

does the container have a filter and bubble thing in it?

For my outside one? No, actually. Its very densely planted though. I have some of this pond-weed type plant that I got from Home Depot ( i don't know its proper name) as well as some water lillies, an Iris, and duck weed and water lettuce at the surface. I do partial water changes every week, and top up evaporated water every other day or so.

I didn't really expect them to live very long in this set up, but I had no room indoors, so sticking them in my tub garden was supposed to be a temporary solution till I found something better. But they're thriving in there, so I guess I'll leave them there till they're ready to go to the LFS. As the temparature warms up though, I think I may get a small fountain, like maybe one of those frog-spitting-water things to increase the oxygenation.

:p
put them in a aquarium full of waterplants ...the more the better!!
used the old water!! :D it's better to use the green water!!!
