Baby Gravid Spot :)

well it happened........... my almost 4 month old fry has a black gravid spot now.....so shes pregnant shes only about ------------ big and her stomach grew.when shes under the light u can see that her gravid spot has black in it and its dots so i know shes prego..does it take longer for a baby to have her fry like more than 4 weeks??? or does it take 4 weeks or less?? i know she will have one or two but will they be smaller than normal or regular??

I have virgin females which show gravid spots still, but if she is among males then their is a good chance she will soon be if not already.

It's always about 4 weeks gestation period, the main thing in the temp. The lower the temp the longer they take.

ooo well she has 2 brothers who have gonopodiums and i seen attempts of breeding but i dont know what the actuall breeding looks like so i think she is breeding cause she runs away(swims away) when they come near her...she doesnt have any color but her brothers do. her gravid spot was always red not black with dots so im guessing she is prego..plus her stomach got bigger

well should like she could very well be. she's a little young to breed from personally, but if you feed plenty of live foods and good quality flake, also keeping up with water changes their should be no problems

well i dont have live food is that bad? will she die?do u remember at what age ur female started to get color???

i might be getting rid of some fry to the pet store cause im gonna get some new fish
