Hullo!
A while ago I asked about a biotope for Siamese fighters...well, I got the bigger tank I hoped for-actually it's much bigger than I hoped for! 20 gallons! :hyper:
Well, I already had one girl and a male, so they got moved into the bigger tank-along with some black neons, and a few cory's and chain loaches that I already had.
And just the week before last I wandered into one of my lfs...and saw a tank of baby girls!
I couldn't help myself, and I came out with four. I think (I'm waiting until they grow a bit before I make a definite decision) that they're three delta tails, and possibly one plaket? I'm not too sure myself, and no one at the shop could inform me.

Before anyone rounds on me for keeping a male in with five females, I have to state that Big Blue is a very calm fish, and has never attacked anything in all the time I have had him (about half a year). He does have occasional flare and chase, but only when it's his feeding time. He loves his flake, and the girls won't touch it. They've each tried flake, only to spit it out, give me a disgusted look, and shoot to the bottom to await their pellets.
And if there was a problem, there are another two tanks he could go into.

But any way! Pictures!

It's feeding time!
Top right with a pellet in her mouth is Piglet-named so for obvious reasons...
The large centre blue is Jagged-her tail was savaged before I had her when she was little, and it never grew back fully, leaving her with a jagged tail.
The red blur is Tchaikovsky.

This is Yuko.

Tchaikovsky-who is very hard to photograph! She will never stay still long enough for me to take a decent picture.

Piglet-for once not eating anything, but giving Tchaikovsky a definite "That's my pellet, thankyou ever so much" look.
I don't know why the camara suddenly decided to switch to sepia mode, but it's such a good picture!

Here are Goldie and Big Blue-Goldie is even harder to photograph than Tchaikovsky, as she likes to lurk amongst the plants and wood at the back. She is extremely shy-and seems to have a bit of a crush on Big Blue, as she follows him about constantly, never more than three inches away.
Big Blue there is doing his favorite things-pondering, and sticking up for Goldie-if I'd been a few seconds earlier you'd have had a good shot of him shooing Piglet off from Goldie’s food. Aww, bless...

...And another group one to finish off!

Cheers! I've been trying to get some decent shots, but the camara I've been using is very old, and not very good. I'm waiting for them to grow a bit more before I say exactly what they are. Actually they've put a remarkable amount of weight and growth on since I got them-before I couldn't even see their ovipositors!

Good luck with your spawn! I can't wait to see what the little 'uns look like!
