Not at all... The only times ferrets will bite is when they are provoked, scared or mis-handled (Just like any other animal!) :)

They are without a doubt the best pets around! :p

I have to agree they are great pets.I have 3 boys.i went to get 2 when my 2 geriatric boys died within 2 months of eachother but couldnt leave the 3rd on his own so came home with all 3  i have had ferrets all my life as pets and none have never shown any aggresion

We also have cats and a dog.
Both my dog and the cats tend to keep out of the way. The ferrets are inquisitive by nature so will try and make friends with the other pets! Just keep an eye on proceedings and make sure that you keep big, aggressive animals away from them and they should be fine. Just make sure you do loads of research on them beforehand and they will make the best pets ever!

Adorable pics, how did the other ferrets take to the new ferrets.

Gorgeous, as usual!

Looking at the last picture - do you have competitions about who can fit the most ferrets between their legs or something? (Yes...I do realise that sounded perverted... :*) :p )

How well do they get on with other animals? we got 2 dogs and a cat who thinks he's a dog! Mind you I'd need to convince the better half first!

NO CHANCE JUDE!!

Stick with the pets you have, they dont smell so bad.....well, the dogs are pretty smelly but...

Sweet pictures. :D I second the nomination.

Mine didn't ever smell. But I had them use the litter box and I changed the box daily. So I never had a problems with smell. Also I had two dogs at the time and let me say the ferrets ruled the house. My doberman, Bonk, initially thought he ruled and would bark them away. But one day as he laid sleeping, one of the ferrets came up and bit his lip. That ferret was latch on and wouldn't let go. My dog just sat there and whimpered with the ferret on his lip. :-( Needless to say, after that he steered clear. But after a few months, my other dog - the cute, smart girl mongrel - Chrissy, started playing with them. She ran through the house with one in her mouth! I was so scared, but then she ran to her bed and they just started wrestling and rolling around. It was so sweet. And next thing you know, even the old dobie Bonk started playing with the ferrets. And whenever Chrissy wanted to play with them she'd just pick up a ferret and carry it to her bed.
