USA,
well recently ive bought some sword tails to replace the jewel cichlids that I had. Like one week after getting them, 3f 1m, a baby boomer started! First the platty gave birth, then the swordtails, and then the guppy fry! but only 6 lived, all the others got eaten. there would be no way i could hanndel all those fry though, lol.

and about the missing guppy

well i decided it was time for them to go into the 15 gallon, there wetre some tetras ans some danios who i transplanted from the 20 because I wanted to make it a planted tank. Well i decided to move the tetras and danios backinto the 20 because i wanted to put the males in the tank. The girls were full sized, but the guys were still small. So I couldnt catch 2 tetras and one danio. Its was dinner so I left them to go eat. There were 4 females in the tank. I took the plants out, but i know she wasnt in ther. when i went back there were only three! I have no idea what happened to her. And its sad because she was from my first batch of fry. :-(

i dont think she would be able to get into the 20. But im worried if she did that my brothers goldfish, who is vacationing in the tank till his gets ready for him, would have eaten her. But then i know that the tetras are the same size and he didnt eat them. But would the goldfish eat them if they could fit into hios mouth? Because they deffinetly could have.

Now I have to buty another female so theyre 2f 1m, but im afraid that the new female would eat the guys. They sisters seem depressed because they used to school, which is weird because guppies arent schooling fish. Now they just sit around on the bottem, or mope around at the top of the tanks. They even let the brothers harras them, i do feel bad for them because they were good friends.

Would a new female in the tank make them happier?
