help when is best to take away baby's from mum will she eat them or just the dad

If the adults are really well fed and the babies have lots of hiding places they will be fine. However, if either parent gets hungry they will eat the young. It is also a good idea to spread the young out as they grow because the bigger babies will sometimes cannibalise the smaller ones.
