Hey All. I have 100+ A.borellii Fry I artificaly Hatched. Because I was having problems getting them to freeswimming stage. My borelli Group (1male 3females ) have spawned a total of 7 times so far. Out of the 7 only to had fry make it to freeswimming stage and only 6 fry for both spawns. I had decided to change out my 2 breeding tanks to RO water and no UGF with a sand substrate instead of my semi course gravel. I was going to do that last weekend. But my fish had other plans.LOL My borelliis decided to spawn on thurs and I had not gotten the RO and sand for chang out yet. That is when I decided to try what I did to save my ram spawns(they were lousy parents). I took the eggs pot and all and placed it in a 1qt jar of distilled ozarka water which I had placed in the tank to equalize the temp. I put an airstone and began to airate. 24 hrs later I saw all 100+ eggs eyed up. I left sat afternoon to go see my girl and spend weekend with her. While out I purchased RO and sand to change out my A.cacatuoides tank. When I returned sun nite all 100+ were hatched and wriggling. they all seem to be doing fine so far no losses so far. I decided to start changing out my cacatuoides tank and foun one of my females guarding put that idea on hold. I plan to let the cacatuoides to try and raise theirs since it is their first spawn . So as they say when it rains it pours. I also have Killies 2 kinds spawning and it looks like I might have a couple pairs of my 5 1/2 month old rams contemplating it. The bad thing I only have 6 tanks 3 20s, 2 10s, 1 5 and some large 1gal+ jars and no funds for new larger digs for my rapidly growing fish family. LOL
