Ok, while clearing out a bit of dead water sprite that I had floating....I found a small little plant that looks like a baby anubias! But....can anubias sprout off a completely new little baby plant like that? I have an anubias nangi and also a nice Nana. The Nana has flowered and the flower is still there. Would this be a small Nana? This baby can fit on the tip of my finger. The leaves are so tiny! I love it and hope it grows. It seems to be. I'm leaving it floating until it gets bigger. I just had no idea that this could even happen! Amazing! I can get a picture if one is needed.

Based on my research Anubias is a semi aquatic plant.  it will grow out of the water on very wet ground and when it flowers will produce seeds.  However when submerged it will flower but not produce seeds.  The only way to propogate them underwater that I know of is by dividing the stem into multiple plants.

Take a picture it sounds like it might actually be duckweed.

Ok, got some pictures this morning. I don't think it's duckweed at all. I haven't added any new plants for months now either. The only thing I've done recently is to take out the gravel and switch to playsand.

Here are the pictures.
