One of my guppies had little babies!!!
I took the adult ones out and put them in a 1 gallon bowl.
There are at least 9 babies.
8 swim together, and one swims alone.
Theyre supposed to look like they dont have tails, right?
What should i feed them?
Should i buy them a net thing?? Or get a divider thing or something like that?
Or should i keep them in the bowl??

put the babies in the 1 gallon bowl, then put the adults back in the original tank...feed them little TINY TINY TINY TINY pieces of food, make it into a powder and dip the tip of a toothpick or somthing small like that in the water, then dip it in the powdery food that you crush up, then dip the toothpick in the water to get it all in there and ur good!!! GOOD LUCK@

I dont want to put the babies in the bowl, since some of them are probably hiding, and the adults will find them and eat them :(

well i would fish out as many as possible, because fry do better in smaller tanks, if they're in a bigger tank then it's harder for them to swim to find food, in a bowl with no gravel, the food doesn't go very far and when it hits the bottom, they can just peck from there...

I got a new tank for them, a 5 gallon. I only filled less than half of it. Today, they started to eat!! I turned on the light, and most of them swam up to the surface, trying to eat the food.
How do i tell if theyre males or females?

The adult ones still both have black spots. Does that mean theyre still going to have babies?

most likely they will have more babies. guppies can get pregnant once and have 3 or 4 drops of babies...

it will be a while before you can tell if they're male or female, but the males with have a thin and pointy anal fin and the females will have a more 'full' anal fin..sorry i have no link.

As you have seen gupp fry like to swim toward the light. With my gupps and platies I will keep the lights off first 2 or 3 days and only turn on while feeding that way they swim to the light and find the food. After they get the point of feeding time I leave the light on 24 hours a day. Heat should be about 82f in the fry tank till they get about 4 months old. This will make them grow faster. Also with 24 hour light you can feed them 3 to 4 times a day. Water changes will also help the grow faster.

It doesn't have to be 82 degrees my two baby tanks stay between 76 and 80.
You should only leave the tank light on for 9 to 10 hours. Baby Fry like to rest at the bottom of the tank having the light on that much doesn't help them.... My fry are 5 , 4, and 3 months old and I only feed them once a day sometimes 2... when the were first born i feed them 3 times a day....
Leaving the lights on 24/7 will make the water hotter I've done this and it made my tanks go up to 90 degrees I had to take out alot of water and put cooler water in..

You can fill the 5gallon to the top if you want, babys love the room to swim I have 46 to 50 baby guppies in two 10 gallon tanks with filters and they love it.....

Take Care and good luck with your babys

No it obviously doesn't have too be but as Oz said this ... 3-4 feedings a day ... and decent bi-daily/daily water changes and your fish will sprout like weeds ... Listen too Oz for advice he has helped me considerably on my first fry by reading his post ... As far as the bowl it's too small I would switch the adults and babies it's a lil cramped in there the fry will be fine in there they're great survivers ;)
