I hate myself sooo much

After 3 weeks of being born i put the 4 swordtail babies in the main tank.

Today i cleaned the tank out and couldn't find them

They had been eaten. I was so depressed.

It took me 6 months to succesfully get swordtail fry and raise them.

The tank was well planted and there were loads of places for the fry to hide.

I guess the other fish found them.

aww, feel so sorry for you, i have just realised that my platy has had babies in my main tank, ive seen about 4 of them, but im peeeed off as i really wanted to save them.

i wish you every success for next time ((( tho maybe they are still hiding??)))

shelagh xxxx

definitely should've waited longer to have let them join the main tank... but sorry for the loss

Yes-depends what you have in your main tank but i wait around 1 to 2 months-the biggest mouth is a dwarf gourami!!!!!!

i use a breeder bag, the square one. their pretty cheap and it has been very productive for me. right now i have 19 baby swordtails in it. and my molly has had so many babies that i've used it for that i have given away a bunch and donated a bunch to my lfs. it's a good investment.
