Well......i bought 2 new female platys on tues night. this morning i found 2 baby platy, atleast i think they are, i have had baby dalmation mollies b4 and these 2 are much much smaller. i was gutted too only find 2 though. my questions are..... are they likely too b platy fry as i have 2 female dalmation mollies and 2 female balloon mollies, and also when do dalmations become sexuallymature?

If they are smaller than the mollies, they are almost certainly platies. Mollies are born larger and more developed than platies.
I read somewhere that it took about a year for mollies to grow up. Not sure on that though.

hmmm well I think my little molly who is now about the size of half a neo tetra lol im sure it has a female shaped anal fin???

The fry I have now are reallt tiny so guessing they are platy, shame the rest didnt make it though

Livebearers can look female for a very long time. The males don't even start to show until they're at least half size. As soon as they get their gonopodium, you know that that fish is male and will stay that way, but some so-called females can look female until they are fully grown and then suddenly get their gonopodium. One of mine did that to me and then obsessively chased the female around and stressed her out - I had to give the male away.

hmmm so what shall i call my little fishy, becuse it was the only survivor i called him rocky, then when i noticed it looking female i called it roxy, poor little buggers gonna be really confused lol
