Weve got two tanks. I just noticed my fish had babies. I would love to do whateve i need to to keep them alive.
The tank there in has 4 mollies, 3 bottom feederss and two snails.
help

most likely mollies (not really sure what bottom feeders are..but mollies get prego ALL the time..)
well if you have another tank i'd put them in there and grind up your fishflakes or buy i think it's babybrine shrimp? or something like that..
but i always grounded up my flakes so that it was like a powder...they really like it! but i know you might not be supposed to do this but it worked for me all the time..i just raised the water temp. 1 or 2 or 3 degrees...the fish liked it better..not sure why or anything but ya!
and good luck!!

I only have one tank aviable but I could put some of the big fish in my mothers tank. Should the babies be on there own>
Can leave a molly or two in there

Just leave them. With mollys you will get babies so often that you will have much too many before long. Normally they are left alone by other mollys, the "bottom feeders" you talk of are probably catfish, most likley some small, non-aggro plecs right... so they will be fine and as for the snails... well they dont exactly eat fish do they.

What I mean is... small flakes = great,
Baby brine shrimp if you want to spend money on getting them and time hatching them

all in all if you lose some then you are going to get more most probably so dont worry.

The only thhing you should be wary of is the quality of your water. bad water affects babys more than adults as you can imagne. Keep it checked, changed and up to scratch.

I was just worried, this is my first batch of babies. I am already overloaded with fish but thats ok because im going to donate the babies to a local special education teacher for her classroom.

Get a breeding box or net. cheap at your lfs. this is what i have done. i have 1 fry in a box at the min. and feed broken up flake.
You place the box or net in the main tank and scoop out your fry and place in said box/net this will keep hungry mothers from eating her own babies

good luck.

ps. feed babybrine shrimp as well they like this too.
