Hi,
I am in university and left my fish tank over xmas with my housemate to look after. He decided to leave the house though and therefore our electricity meter ran out and my tank basically shut down causing everything in it to die, including my favourite black ghost knife fish which i had only just managed to get eating out of my hand.
Although among the 15+ dead fish, there were 2 survivors!! A male and female green terror cichlid. They were obviously looking a bit worse for wear, so go the heating and filter back on etc and have been doing more frequent and larger water changes due to the deaths in the tank. A few days later the tank was looking back to normal apart from on of the terrors having a sortta fungus on its side, so treated the tank with protozin. That very day (y/day) the female layed a batch of eggs! ( i was too busy sorting out the dead fish and cleaning to notice she was very pregnant
)
I was therefore wondering if its best to continue the treatment or not?
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks
Jamie
