hi my baby bettas are about four or five days out of their eggs and still dont know how to swim. They cant stick to the bubble nest no matter what they do. For some reason, when the babies try to get into the bubble nest, they dont stick. What's going on??

what water temp do you use? if it's really cold they could be developing really slowly.

about 72-74 degrees (farenheit) this time... I usually keep the temp at 80 (farenheit).

That is quite cold and I'm surprised your bettas even spawned at that low. Try raising the temperature to 80 or 81 F. That should definitely help. How many babies do you have?

Since the temp. is so low this time, they didnt have all that much. What happened was i floated the female in the tank just to get ready and full of eggs. But, i didnt have time for a water change (to put some hotter water in) because she had already jumped out and started to spawn! This whole batch has been a disaster. . I've been trying to get a heater... so hopefully the next batch will be successful like all the other ones.

But I want to figure out why the babies dont stick to the bubble nest. ????
