hey

on the w/e i bought my first fish an Axolotol...
he is not eating...
i have tried beef heart...
any idea's???

and also wot steps should i go through when cleaning the tank???

and how often should i do it???

any help would be greatly appreciated...

Well research before you buy is my best tip! As is trying more than one food before thinking he won't eat!

Anyhow, they eat things like bloodworm and other mosquito larvae. Have a look at this website here

well yes i hav researched before i bought

i have tried pellets, blood worms, earth worms, whole fish and so fourth...

but still no eating...

have u used tweezers to dangle the food right in front of his nose? they cant see to well n use their smell to find food.

What is the temp and conditions of the tank? Axolotylls are probably the least fussy eaters ever. Also how long has he been settling in for, because many fish can take a while to eat when they're stressed from the move - and what kind of tank is it / size / contents / decor etc? It could be anything.

well well first of all ovuasly u havent doen ur reaserch because they are indeed NOT FISH!! and u can feed them much aslong as its not fatty things like worms blood worms and beef hearts should be good and axolotl pellets and OMG u havent got gravel in the tank have u???
