Awe ain’t they cute

baby farlowella catfish. Just hatched this morning. I count 16 out of the 52 eggs that were still there when I went to bed. I don’t have a fry tank ready yet so they will have to fend for themselves in the main tank which probably means they won’t survive but I got a couple good pics anyway.

Thanks I like them too. They actually do what most people think plecos do and you can acually see them.

I don’t have high hopes for the fry though. While I was watching one of the breeding angels (who coincidentally has fry of her own ATM) picked one off the glass.

Well as I feared I went to bed last night and counted 10 fry. Woke this morning and I can only find one. I suppose it’s possible some made it to the moss or on some driftwood to hide but I’m not holding my breath. Oh well, hopefully by the time the next batch hatches my ten gallon will be cycled and I can save some of them.
