I am travelling for my annual summer vacation for a week. I told this to my fish dealer he said he has that kind of food that feed the fish makes them feel full and doesn't rotten the water it last for two weeks is that true what shall I do about water change and turning the lights on and off? please heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!

hi,
if its just a week i would,do a water change on the day before travel, buy a timer for the lights, if you have no live plants you can leave them off it wont do any harm, give them a good feed before you go, they should be fine, all the best donna :)

even the fry I feed three times a day won't they die until I come back?

hi,
i did not know you had fry, is ther no one at all you can trust to come round once a day?
the food blocks usually dont contain much if any goodness, also if your fish did not like it ,it would polute your tank, of course its up to you if you want to use the block, if you do read whats in it first, most of the time the main thing in it is just ash, hope you have a good holiday donna :)

Well about your fish(not the fry) they should be fine without eating in a week. But if you have live plants in your tank they will nibble on the plants for food. I would reccomend just get an automatic feeder. About the fry you must feed them on a regular basis to keep them alive. They are just babys and would not live without food unlike an adult fish. You must find someone who you can trust to feed your fry. Also fry need very clean water to live. So you should find someone to feed your fry. Also to clean your fry tank. You can also get automatic lights for your tank. I will post some website to show you items that can help you out with the problem you have.

I don't know may be I would give the fry to a friend to take care of them but they will have to saty in a small tank I guess its dimensions are 35 cm, 20 cm and 15 cm and I am thinking of putting the elder guppies with the elders the elder guppies are almost two months. the elder guppies will stay at home may be my brother would be kind and come to feed them :-(
