Well i have 15 guppy fry they are now a week old, well i watch them every time they eat but i have never seen them swallow the food i am from the bahamas so we don't carry brine shrimp nor micro worms, please what should i do i don't wanna loose these babies, when i bred my swordtail she had 26 babies i don't wanna loose these ones like i lost them.

Also i have a pregnant Fancy guppy, she now swims with her tail pointing up, what does this means

Interesting. Test your water an dpost your result's on here. They are so tiny, that they can eat and you dont know it.

what do you mean by test my water, how do i do that.

I usually put finely crushed flakes in the water.

u can go to ur LPS or LFS and buy a water test kit. It testes the water for different chemicals that could be bad in ur tank. this really helps when keeping fish because if some of the chemicals r too high, ur fish will die.

sorry to say but we have no such things, i put betta plus in the water for my betta's i have put some water conditioners, and i have a filter in each tank, i add safe start by tetra, and easy balance by tetra. and aqua safe by tetra.
are these good or bad

I'm lucky - we live in an area where the water is not chlorinated. The only stuff I ever put in it is plant food, salt (if there are sick fish) and Eco-start, which is the only not-useless cycle bacteria preparation I know. It doesn't claim to cycle a tank instantly, it just gives the bacteria levels a boost and keeps my overstocked little tank up to the excessive numbers of fry that my fish insist on pouring into it. :)

If the fry had not eaten for a week they would be dead. Simple. They can last three, maybe four days tops without eating anything after birth, and only two days when the yolk sack is gone (so if you stop feeding them they starve after 2 days). So they must be eating something or they wouldn't be alive. I use crushed flake as well, and it sits on the bottom and slowly vanishes. And the fry grow.

sorry about that i guest i was just panicking they are eating, they are now 1week and 1 day old
