I really couldn't find much on automatic feeders so I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I usually feed my fish with the floating pellets, flakes among other things I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a good feeder. Also if any of them can disperse catfish sinking pellets. Thanks. I need this because I'm going on a a couple vacations this summer. I already have timers for my lights so I'm pretty much set.

hi
we've got a fishmate f14 auto feeder that can feed your fish once a day for 14 days. it runs on battery & you can connect a tube from your airpump to keep the food dry. we've found it works well as long as its set up right. ie: make sure you test it before you go away, set it up somewhere & let it run for a few days to make sure it is working correctly...........i say this because the first time we used it we overfilled the little sections & it couldnt turn around & drop the food (was too heavy) we came home after 2 weeks to find the feeder full on top of the tanks & 30 very miserable hungry fish..we felt terrible we'd starved the poor things for a fortnight   we were lucky they all survived but we learnt the hard way & now have it up & running before we go & then top up the sections that have already dropped their food. we put a mix of flake, catfish tabs & dried tubifex cubes in our feeder.
im not sure if you can get the same model in the usa but there must be loads similar have you tried looking up aquarium supply shops on the net???

I was just curious if auto-feeders are worth it. Thanks for the info millym
