Hi, would anyone know which is the best automatic feeder to get? It's only for use while I am on holiday.
I have noticed on previous threads that it's recommended to fill pill boxes with the right amount and get a neighbour to do it. But this isn't really an option, I don't trust the neighbours, not with feeding the fish that would be fine, they would be snooping round my house!

How long are you going to be away for?

your fish can go around a week without food and they'll be fine. just have timers on your tank for the light to go on and off.

I still wouldn't use an automatic feeder.

Have you got a trusted friend, or family member, who could come round once or twice to feed them?

What sorts of fish do you have? And is your tank planted or not?

IF you have to get a feeder.. the Ehiem one looks solid.. digital and apparently easy to use, though I've never used one before.

Basically if u are going to get one buy a very good one as cheap ones can not be trusted

The eheim one has good reviews, but being eheim is of course expensive.

our family lives away etc so thats not an option. yes it's planted, but only cheap plants as it's my first proper tank so I was experimenting, so if I lose some then it's not too much of a problem.
I have a fluval vincenza 180 litre.
9 neon tetra, 4 orange platy, 3 hexazon barb, 6 penguin tetra and 6 shrimp.

The eheim was the one that I was possibly looking at

I have used a mechanical and it was rubbish. Will post a review of it later.
