Attack Betta

Alfie has turned into an attack betta lol. As soon as he saw me picking up his flakes last night, he freaked. He was flaring both beard and fins, shimmying, lunging at the glass...all while opening his mouth super wide. He looked like he wanted to eat my face lmao. I meanwhile am laughing and baby talking him. "Does you want to eat mommies face? Ohhh whose a scary wittle betta? Is you scary? Yes you are!" LOL


My hubby was on the computer and told me that I seriously need a life


On a side note, he is doing really well. Haven't had any feeding problems lately. He's taking his flakes like a champ


I'm thinking about getting another betta. I'm still a little gun shy since Delta died so quickly. If I get one it will definitely be from a breeder so I know it's healthy.

I'm gonna talk to Alfie and see what he thinks about a new flare buddy

My little Kenni flares and freaks out when I give him little pieces of freeze dried krill... he loves that stuff!!

My larger female betta, when she was in the 30 gallon, would jump out of the water knowing it was feeding time. Everytime I thought she would jump onto the floor. It got to the point I would have the flakes ready before I opened the tank and put the food in realllllllllly fast

he sounds freaky, does he attack your finger if you put it in the tank, or is he just all show

George seems to "perform" for his meals. He flares as I get his dinner ready. But if I'm there to do a water change, he just swims around and doesn't flare at all.

reminds me of my sorority tank. i was feeding them some fruit flies the other day and they hadn't had them before. After dropping a fly down, I would close the top. As soon as I would open to feed another fly, Zoe would look up at me with her beady little eyes and jump up and out of the water within a second. I had to hurry and open the lid and close it before she jumped out of the aquarium.
