I'm at Ocean City, MD. It's a huge tourist attraction here in Maryland. Lots of little kids buying useless knick-knacks. Well, I came across this and was horrified. It was a pangasius catfish in a little glass box, about 10" long and the water was about 4" deep. I just wanted to show you. :( It made me really sad. They also have balas in the same thing, although I didn't get a picture of it. One picture has my finger in it to give you an idea of how small it is. I have pretty small hands as it is.

Yes grr I live in amryland as well and seeing all those fish in small betta cup sizes of water pisses me off to no end. Another marylander!! I'm from Hampstead/Westminster!

Maybe someone should put these people in a tiny cage with hadly any air, and nowhere to put there waste, see how they like it!!!!!

Was this a fish in a display case or is this a fish for sale? If it's as a display, then your moral obligation is to follow-up with letters to the proper people so that things like this don't continue to happen.

Example. We just left the grocery store. Outside, there is a dog sitting in a station wagon, all the windows closed up tight. The dog was whining and practically gasping for air. I took down the license plate number, went back in the store, told them there was a dog in distress and they made an announcement over the loudspeaker for the person who owned that vehicle to come to the front desk. Bingo.

You have to follow through with these things. Otherwise, complaining about it is pretty much a moot point and you're just preaching to the choir.

No, it was for sale. It wasn't a fish store, it was a souvineer shop. There was also balas and frogs. You could buy that fish in the little box for $30. They said you feed it once a day and change the box 2-3 times a year. It was sad. :( It was most likely targetted towards little kids who beg their parents for one, maybe 4-8 years old... only to be forgotten after about 2 weeks...
