Hang in there. There's nothing I can do from so far away, but if I could, I would. Hospitals are not where any of us want to be, but if it's what's needed - then you're in the right place getting the right care.
I remember having a blood tap. The worst thing to have attached to your body I swear. Had mine on for just under 2 weeks and had to sleep on my back which I don't like doing in a stuffy hospital ward
In Sept. 2019 I woke one morning early with the worst acid reflux I have ever had and nothing helped. I drove myself to the ER. They kept asking about my heart and I kept saying I was there for acid reflux. At 5 that afternoon having had a CAT scan and blood gasses checked I arrived by ambulance at a much larger nearby hospital which was keeping their cath lab open late for me. It had one of the best cardiac surgery departments in the area.
5 days later I had triple by-pass surgery and am now a member of the zipper club. I am still going strong today. The current state of cardiology is pretty amazing. They can fix a lot of stuff. I was 71 with COPD and hypertension as well as a genetic heart condition not involved with my heart attack and surgery.
I am betting you will come out of this all OK even if getting there is not a joy ride.
Let me thank you all for your concern and health wishes.
I got back home late this afternoon... But I have to take things slow for now... I already had two heart attacks before. This time it wasn't a heart attack but the pain I had wasn't less for that matter. I had an angioplasty yesterday. I'm okay but still exhausted. But I can be at home for Christmas which I do appreciate...
I already had some narrowing in my arteries. And the last time I had an angioplasty was in 2010. Apparently the arteriosclerosis got worse at one spot, which caused my heart to react incorrectly. Let's say that since the past two weeks the inside of my upper left arm kept hurting and I had this pressure on my chest. And then one of my veins in my left front part of the neck started to throb painfully.
At the hospital they thought it was my heart. It took them yesterday a while before they located the cause of my problem. The same day I got my angioplasty.
Now I'm at low salt in my food for now. And not too much fat in my food for a while.
