Well, i've been very worried about my molly/platy called skip.

She has been preggers for 6-8 weeks now, but i have just fed them and i spotted some fry!!! I've managed to get 8 so far into the hatchery, there are 2 more that seem hell bend on roughing it in the tank!!

I also have another fry (came in bag with other fish) that i have had in a hatchery for 6 wks, what size is safe to release him? He is about 20mm at present. There are 24 neons, 4 mollies/platys, 9 glass cats, 3 loach things in the tank. Do you think now is the time to set him free???

Thanks for all the help over the last few weeks.

Simon

first off congrats on the new babies, as for the older one, it should be safe to let it out if it is big enough not to fit in the mouth of the biggest fish :good:

Lol!!!! I thought that would be the case.

The biggest gob in the tank is Skip, i hope she leaves him alone!!! I think it's time for Lucky to see the big bag world for himself!!!

12 caught now, with at least 5 still braving in out at the bottom of a particularly large boulder (stone wouldn't do it justice)

Yes, if skip was anything to go by, the other female will produce more in a couple of weeks. She is getting fatter by the day.

I think i'll be getting fry every few weeks!!
