Put this in the DIY section for a much better response. :good:

You build the tank on the base.
Place spot of sealant (only a spot to act as a tack) on the bottom of the end panel and place it on the base (some one to help will be useful) hold with strips masking tape.
Do the other end in similar fashion.
Now spot tack the bottom of the front and back panes and also up the sides (where they meet the ends. Again use strips of masking take to hold the welds/panes together.
Once you have the basic tank shape leave this for 24 hours to cure, the tape can be removed and you are ready to seal the tank proper. Cut you sealant cartridge nozzel to give a good generous bead of sealant, start sealing all around the base. Once you've done this dip your finger or a smothing tool in warm water and run it along the bead to force it into the panes and the joint. Follow the same proceedure up each end/side panel joint offer a little extra sealant into the bottom corners.
Leave this to cure for 24 hours or so. Next comes the bracing, this depends on the size of tank you are building. I would normally seal two strips of 25mm wide glass along the front and back panes, 25mm down (Cut the strips 75mm less than the total length to allow for pipes/wires to enter the aquarium) from the top. then cross brace with 50mm wide glass heavily sealed to the underside of those.
I hope this was of some help,
Regards
