I already posted this in the Scientific Forum, but it hasn't had a reply in 3 days, so I am posting it here.

I recently discovered that you can use Aspirin to revive fish that are going into shock. It saved my angel at an auction. But, are there any other " miracle " medicine's such as Aspirin that you can use for fish?

Hmm..... I havent heard of that before. I do use prescription Minocycline instead of Macryn-Two, cuz the pill are covered by insurance.

Anyone else? Ohh, for hte Aspirin, you take a 1/4th of a regular pill, smash it up, and put it in the bag with the fish in it. It works amazingly well.

That's good to know. I have never seen a fish go into shock though. What does it look like?

Basically, the fish floats around the bag. Not by it's own. It looks like it's dead, or almost dead. I'm sure you've seen it. It can happen when there is almost no air in the bag, a huge pH swing, anything drastic in the bag( or tank). It brought my angel back from barely moving it's fin's, to swimming around like nothing is wrong in about 2 hours.

Tea tree oil, I drop 2 drops of the pure oil in (13 gallon tank) and it clears up any bacterial problems within 2 days.

For such minor bacterial infections people use Melafix to treat, you mine as well just increase the amount of water your changed and fix the problem that way...

Melafix is tea tree oil just watered down so that they can sell you less for a higher price.... + I feel safe putting tea tree oil from a pharmacy on my skin when I get a cut whilst melafix would give me second thoughts why should my fish have any less care given.
