Ok.. im totally new to this forum stuff... but im really in need of some advice from others

I have a Tiger plec... have had him for a good few years now, very strong fish, been moved around from a few tanks
now.. anyway i really like plecs and i have tried a few times to add another 1 to my tank, but sadly to say without success

i had tried a Zebra, which only lifed for 3 weeks, then a common plec but sad to say also died..

water is good.. lots of places to hide, plants, various foods.

the only thing i have seen is the Tiger sometimes getting very aggresive towards the other plecs...

is it the Tiger killing them from stress?

I would really like to have another plec, but i dont want to harm anymore

many thanks for the advice

Paul

its 120 ltr...

i have
1 tiger
1 BN
4 barbs
2 corys

I think you should leave the plecs at that and get more corys for the bottom and some more shoaling fish like tetras or barbs, if you have aggressive barbs like tigers you could have an aggressive barb tank with plecs and corys, would be nice.

i think your right... i will wait until i get the bigger tank...

i think i will go for a flying fox, i have always wanted 1... and maybe some clone loaches
what do you think?

No I heard flying foxes like to eat fishes, clown loaches get way to big.

Get Dwarf Chain loaches or corys.

Flying Foxes (click for more info)
Flying fox are ok when small but can be a nuisance when at a medium size, they then calm down and become a bit lazy when older, but with flying foxes sucking loaches ect buy them in pairs and they tend to keep each other busy and leave the other fish alone. as algae eaters though they are only useful when young. but with fast zippy fish like barbs and stuff and tough buggers like plecs you might be ok.

if your gonna buy a bigger tank down the line though clown loaches would be fine as they are very slow growing fish so will stay small for years so buy them small and you should be ok for a good while.
