So i was told by mr ebayer that my fish would arrive around 1pm on saturday morning..

Nope lol try 7:30am yawwwn anyway im glad as it was less time in the bag/boxn for my fishy.

Anyway after opening it all up i caught a glimpse of my little CT.

He was almost white, at first i thought omg theyve sent me the wrong CT , anyway bag out of the box i started to examine the little guy. He was very unhappy and i didnt have the heart to think about sending him back regardless to his colour.

So i started the intro to my tank.

Then whilst this was happening trotted up to the computer and started to write a lengthy email to the seller as i was unhappy that they sent me the wrong fish.

I remember reading they go slightly discoloured when they are transportedand are unhappy. So benifit of the doubt il finally set him free in to the tank.

He slowly drifted to the bottom and curled up;

#starts worrying :crazy:

after closely observing his behavoir over 3 hours he started to perk up a little still 99% hacked off he looked like he wanted ww3.

Anyway to show how much a difference his travelling made to his mood/colouring i thought id illustrate with a pic#

Thats after 3 hours of being in my tank he had started to change to his colours bar in mind he was almost white on arrival :blink:

Anyway i went out for a while came back and checked up on him and noticed how dark he actually went. I say a while i got back at 11pm (imediately makes a grab for camera)

Big difference dont you think?, Il get some more pictures up asap he likes to hide unfortunatly, i think its because hes had a mare of an experience (travelling)

Anyway i also rescued this little guy from Amwell Equatics in epping, he was found almost stuck to the pump.. i thought he was dead so imediatly purchased him!

Got him home and added him to a tank i had already setup :) as you can see he looks happy (i hope)

Scribs was £10 absolute Bargain! Deadly Nightshade was expensive but IMO well worth it @ £40 lol

Il get some better picies up asap;

Im so glad i got scribble he comes right to the front of the tank to see me when i look in :)

Deadly looks beautiful when he fans his fins :)

Gorgeous fish, the both of them! You are a very lucky person to have two such beautiful fish. I hope they do well. Good luck! :good:

Thanks Monty :)

I found the first picture of Deadly in the tank he was a discoloured angry little fish!

If he was like that the moment i put him in to the tank with me (agressive) doesnt that maybe say something about the way he was kept by the breeder?

If so what can i get to heal it?

Up close he looks fine like all his fins are around the same spikey length pointed at the top

Even where i have added the comment it doesnt looked ripped in reality but on the photo i see it, hmm

yup thats the bit i noticed, i suppose its possible that he's a DT, but it looks too ragged, like its torn away or something

it doesn't look like there is any fin rot at the moment, (though i could be wrong) i would try using melafix as a preventative measure. it also helps with fin regrowth as does super clean water, so try and change it more regularly while he's recovering

Il try and get some better picies tonight up close it doesnt look ripped just in the picies anyway il defo get the pictures up by tomorrow as i trust youl know better then me tbh,

I change his water quite often tbh but il do it even more often, I use the water conditioner to take out any inpurities hmm.

Il be keeping a close eye on him.

If it was a tear with treatment can it grow back? Re read ( it can ) if it is. :)
