How can I make my arowana eat pellets? It just spits it right out.

quite simply you can't!!

mine won't eat anything dead either.

you can try starving it and only feed pellets, it might learn to except them, but if you have other fish in the tank this isn't a good idea.

what type of arowana is it? and how big is it? plus what size tank?

Dont attempt starving a arowana until it is at least 10 inches long, until then just feed it what ever it will eat. After that give the fish one good feed and then dont offer anything but pellets for 4 weeks, by the end of the second week it should start to eat them.

Actually, you can.

Mine eats pellets and frozen foods. Never seen feeders in its life. I watched it for a few months at the LFS, they had it eating dry foods and crickets.

I'd suggest feeding it crickets and live earthworms for a while. They maybe throw in a couple chunks of shrimp or fish. And you can soak pellets in shrimp juice or fish juice to make them more palatable.

Yeh you can't MAKE it eat pellets, you can gently persuade it though :D

Just to clear things up i don't feed fish either, they get mealworms, super worms and cricktes and will takes jumbo bloodworm.
