Armano Shrimp Advice Nedeed!

Hi ,just did a water change and noticed that one of my armano shrimp has a long orange line on it`s head,what`s this , any advice would be appreciated?

Color: clear, glassy with 0.3 mm reddish brown spots and a line on the back of the same color.
Sexing: Females are larger and plumper. They have bigger bellies with abdominal pockets.
Acclimation: regular, like fish

Thanks ,but i`ve had these shrimp for several weeks,and one has just ,in the past day developed an orange line down it`s head

Hi,have just seen armano shrimp again ,and it`s still got an orange mark on his head ,bright orange,this is really freaking me out , as the other one hasn`t anyone please!!!

Just gone into my lfs and asked them about the orange line on the shrimps head and he said it was the food ,is this right?

Is the shrimp eating & behaving normaly? If so it may be becoming randy.

Yes, this is correct. Whatever these little fellas eat can be seen in their head, which slowly moves down through their body as they digest it all! It freaked me out a little when i first seen it, but don't worry. What you may find is that it happens suddenly, even after they haven't been fed for a day or two..this is purely down to their scavenger instinct where they will find dislodged/unseen food in your tank that you simply didn't know was there!

Quick little bit of advice also, do NOT put any juvenile Red Cherry or Crystal Red shrimp in with them, they'll pick them off over night as simply a snack.

Hi Terry,thanks for that,was going to introduce cheer shrimp,as another lfs said that they could live together,but definately won`t now!!
