My oscar and midas hybrid (who, due to the developing nuchal hump, I have decided is probably male and therefore underwent a name change from Marie Antoinette to Antoine,) had their first quarrel today. Antoine has been really flarey lately and thinks he's a bigshot, so he decided to challenge my oscar... who is about twice his size.
The oscar mostly avoided him, since he is not very aggressive at all... but he eventually got tired of being nipped and put Antoine in his place. Aristotle may have gotten a ripped fin or two, but somebody lost a few scales, and let's just say that somebody wasn't Aristotle
Mr. fancy pants is now sulking in his cave, acting quite humiliated at his failed attempt to become the leader of the tank.
Don't worry, neither fish received any injuries worth mentioning... I'll have to keep a closer eye on them in the future, though
I'm just proud of Aristotle for showing that little troublemaker who's boss!
Edit: Now they're swimming together again as if they were best friends
