 My SAEs are all breathing very rapidly and all shoaling next to one another instead of off eating at algae.

Parameters:
A: 0
Ni: 0
Na: 5-10
co2: Currently turned off to see if that is it.

 can anyone help? They have been treated for flukes before.

hi'
it could be a lack of oxygen. have you got stacks of plants that can turn the co2 to oxygen. strong enough filter/powerhead to ripple the surface

If they are gasping id do a water change straight away, always first thing i do if anything should ever happen.

they seem to be fine now but still breathing very rapidly. all the other fish are breathign slow and normal. SAEs are weird. why just them?

How long have you treated for flukes as they take some getting rid of.
Flukes can cause bacterial infections on top as in there hooks they carry a nasty bacterial, once they have broke through the fish skin the bacteria enters the fish blood stream.
To be honest not sounding to good for the algae eater sorry.

mm.. if all 6 die again i shall be mad.

I am not sure they had flukes or not but i treated them when i got them. i treated with prazi. twice.

so it is gonna end up spreading to all my fish? and kill them all huh... ugh..

well i left the co2 off all day and they are now breathing normally again. Umm... are SAEs scensative to co2?

Don't no anything about C02.
I think we need to start again when all this started.
Looking at ever symtom the fish showed.
Also the symtoms of any dead fish before they died.

last time they died was a long time ago... they were just dead, they showed no signs of a problem or anything. poor guys. I would say it is co2 since when i aerated the tank for the last half of the day yesterday they were fine.
