Are Tiger Barbs To Agressive To Go With Angels?

I'm planning the stocking of my 65 gallon tank and I was thinking of 3 or 4 angels and a school of 10 or so Tiger Barbs. I know the Barbs are less aggressive in larger groups, but is this big enough? Or would they just not work at all? Thanks for reading!

The barbs would be aggressive regardless i think and the bigger issue would be the nipping, generally anything with long flowy fins or "feelers" like the ventrils (duno if thats the right term) on an angelfish would be deemed unsuitable to go in with tiger barbs as they have a tendancy to nip them to shreds. Maybe some larger tetra catch your eye?

I was afraid of that Would Serpae Tetra's be big enough to not become a snack? I rather like the look of them too

Again they can be nippy but should be large enough to not get munched with a bit of luck it depends on the angels really and the type, some grow huge and others get slightly smaller you could try them but be prepared to haul them out of there if needs be, trial and error make up alot of this hobby Just be sure to steer clear of anything neon tetra like as they are an angel fishes natural diet in the wild.

i wouldnt put tigers with angels , however if you like tiger barbs take a look at pentazona barbs. very similar looking but much more peacefull

I have Colombian Tetras and Bentosi (white tip rosy tetras) with Angels and Severums and it all works very well

I did have Tiger Barbs with Angels before also but my Big Severum killed them ...they never bothered my Angels tho.

agreed with above. ive had tiger barbs with angels and they payed them no attention over the course of many years.
