THERE ARE HNG PLACES.JUST WISH I KNEW HOW LONG TILL THEY HAD THEM!!!!!

its near impossible to tell the exact time for me on other peoples fish, as every fish gets a different size, but if you remember the dates, write them dow or something then you know around 4 weeks later there will be more

Like everybody else said, it's kinda hard to tell when the fish is going to drop. See the very dark spots on the flanks of the guppies? Those are called eye spots or gravid spots. They are the eyes of the fry forming inside the mum. Judging by the darkness of the spots and the size of the mother's abdomen, I'd say ten days for the fish on the left and a week for the fish on the right, but I could be way out. I just had a platy drop tonight (been sitting around with an aspirator and a labouring fish in a jug) and she was massive, looked like someone stuck a bike pump up her butt and blew her up. I've had platies drop at half that size, they just have fewer fry (Jester dropped 81. I'm still in shock.)

-Most of them will be eaten before you can find/catch them. Better to put the female into her own tank to drop the fry then raise them alone, if you want a high fry rate. They can show color just depends, some come out very golden others black etc.
-You will see more colors as they grow.
-If you dont have another tank you CAN use a breeding trap, but they arent reccomended and the female may abort due to being stressed in the trap.
-All in all, if you want maybe just 1 or 2, leave the female in the tank and see if some make it.
-If you want a lot of fry and can house them, isolate her in a 10 gallon with a sponnge filter and some floating riccia or some other floating plants.
Here's a good link to help you out, this will tell you everything: *Link*

Good luck to you and your fish, and be careful, this hobby is extremly addicting and there is no going back once you have MTS,

Drew
