Are They Healthy?

How long have you had the crypts in there?
Sometimes when they're put into tanks they go through a dying back period, as most are grown out of water, and the new shoots have to adapt to this. If they have been in a good few months, a weekly fertiliser may improve the growth rate and leaf health.
The java/windelov (as i think it is) will brown off just before producing new shoots.

Hope this helps

Skittles

Yeah i need to get some fertiliser! The crypts have been in there a while. They are crypt wendtii "brown".

The colour is normally for the species, but they are quite prone to crypt 'melt' which is where the stems and roots go see through and almost silky texture. The plant should overcome this though, esp with the help of some fertiliser :)

how long ago did you put them in your tank? It looks similar to my crypt melt i experienced from putting new crypts in my tank, and thus "healthy".

they look fine to me, the Windelov also looks healthy, is that sand thats blown on it?

yes the sand has blown on them. I put them in a good few months ago.

They look pretty healthy to me; I can't see any melting. Is that a bit of hair algae on the second photo, I can't really tell?

I wasn't sure if it was just the edge of the leaf blurred or not. From what I can see on the photos they look the picture of health
