Well I have a Bolivan Ram (male) and I just bought a female German Blue Ram (female). Will these two be able to live together successfully together or do they need to be with their own species?

I think it should be fine, although i'm not sure if they will have successful spawns though -_-

Thank you so much Discuslova. I don't particularly want them to spawn I just was informed that they do better in pairs. I think that's true because now the male bolivian has developed a little yellow close to the head now. I don't know maybe it's because he settled in two. Who knows?

No problem. They may pair, and spawn, but what I was pointing at earlier (or tyring to :p), was that the eggs most likely won't develop.
