Are These Stocking Plans Okay? As In, Not Overstocked?

Okay, this is what I have currently:

29g: 1 stupid male betta who thinks the females are just other fish, 3 females, 4 corydoras, 2 tetras

5g: My brother's old fart of a betta that we are moving out soon

These are my plans:

29g: My fish I have in it now (see above), 2-3 more female bettas, 2 more cories, 1 dwarf gourami
5g: A CT betta that I'm getting soon and something else (just suggest it!)

Is my 29g going to be overstocked at all? And does anyone have any more suggestions for the 5g?

I wouldn't keep female Bettas with a male. Even though they seem fine now, it could all change and they're likely to attack each other. Also, the tetras are fin nippers and are likely to start nipping at his tail.
Dwarf Gouramis and Bettas are also a no-no, they are from the same family and again they are likely to attack each other.
You'd be better off putting the male in a 5G tank on his own, they are solitary fish and happy with their own company. Also, by putting him in a seperate tank you will not be so restricted as to what you keep in your 29G.
As for the 5G, some people keep snails or African Dwarf Frogs with their Bettas, so might be worth considering. Other than that, there's nothing else you could keep as the tank is too small.

Yeah what stang said. From reading these forums iv heard its a big no no to put a gourami in with a betta. People have also been advised not to put in tetras in with bettas as they nip the fins, but some people have had success keeping them together. Id say get more cory cats, as many as you possibly can in that tank. But im biased, i love my little cory cats :)

Okay, I appreciate your trying to help, so I won't get the dwarf gourami.

But this betta has lived with these females for a very long time and never even flares at them. No, it's not going to change. Mowgli is a prodigeous, genius betta who likes to keep routines. Ha... :D I bet you $500 that he'll never attack a female. You can say all you want but it'll never change the way I think on him... sorry for being stubborn.

With the tetras, I know they're supposed to be nippy but Mowgli has lived with over 15 tetras his whole life and not one has ever taken one look at him. The ones I have with him now are the most peaceful I've ever gotten and just swim together never taking notice of Mowgli. If they do, I have extra tanks and will move him.

Sorry for being so stubborn, but I know and have complete confidence that Mowgli is a gentle betta and my tetras are gentle also.

I'll replace that dwarf gourami with more cories then.
