i just got a 75 gal tank and im not really sure what to put in it but ive made a list of fish i would like and would appreciate it if you guys could advise me on what to get and how many to get. ok heres the list:

neon tetra
black widow tetra
hatchet fish
3 spot gourami
angel fish
rams
glass cat fish
corys
clown loach
and silver sharks
and i definatly want a nice big common plec

i plan to have the sides of the tank planted with tall plants and the foreground with short broad leafed plants with rocks and bogwood in the middle of the tank, so that there is plenty of cover whilst still keeping some room for bigger fish to swim around in.

neon tetra school
of at least 6 --> 2in

black widow tetra
4 of more --> 2in

hatchet fish
five or more --> 1.5inchs

3 spot gourami
agreesive and don't do very well in my expercence with angel fish I'd personally recomind less aggressive kissing gouramis they get big but would do very well in your size tank or if you'd like to stick to a very community tank then go for dwarf gouramis

angel fish
might eat neons so figure out which one youd rather had but it would be a wonderful schooling tank and by the look of the other fish you've listed the majority are schooling fish

rams
??? I'll let someone else answer this one that is more knowledge with these fishes but I do belive they need soft (to medium hard) water of low pH (5-6 is ideal) and a few that you listed like the ph around 7

glass cat fish
needs a group of 5 or more and grow up to 6"

corys
love them! do well in almost any tank playful and fun and many differnt varieties to choose from they are also a schooling fish we do best in groups of 4 and more of the same varieties they can be keep with other cories of the same varieties but usually don't school

clown loach
another big fish gets up to 12 inchs but easily but to 8 to 10inchs in the normal aquarium very peaceful

silver sharks
also known as a bala shark they can get up to 16 inch in a normal aquarium and I wouldn't recomind them for any tank under a 120gal. I have been told this shark does best in small groups of 3 or more, they prefer to school in the aquarium.

and i definatly want a nice big common plec
common pleco gets huge and produce a heck of alot of waste, I had one and know perfer the smaller varieties because you can keep more and the different varieties you can choose from

I hope this helps
