I have a 160L tank and have had 6 fish in it for 2 weeks and I did a fishless cycle for 4 weeks before putting the fish in.

Here are the results from my water test(tested with a tablet tester):
<0.1 ammonia
0 Nitrite
50-75 nitrate
ph 7.5-8

Are these stats ok for a new tank. I have done a 20% water change each week so far. How long before I can add more fish.

Thanks in advance.

Any detectable reading for ammonia is not good, so no, your tank cannot tank more fish. Also, try to get nitrate down below 50ppm where possible before introducing fish. Keeping nitrate high before adding new fish may lead to deaths of the new fish due to toxic shock. What size is the tank, and what fish do you have? It would appear the fishless cycle may have back-fired, as you shoulden't be seeing the ammonia at all.

All the best

160L. 2 black mollies. 2 silver mollies. 2 platys. I put the ammonia as <0.1 because the colour my test came up with was not as a yellow/green colour as the one indicated 0.1 on the sheet, so it is less but i dont know hoe much. It doesnt have a colour for no ammonia so it may have been 0 but im not sure. I am using a easytest tablet tester pack if that helps.

Hope that all makes sense

Thanks

I am unsure of the accuracy of these kits, but assuming they are good, I would read the result as non-teteactable :good: Your ready for more fish.

What is the maixmum of fish i could add now/week or so. also what is the maximum that could fit in my 160L tank, once the filter can cope. all the fish will be around the size of mollies with the biggest fish being and bit bigger.

Thanks in advance

Add 5 this week max, 10 next week max etc, untill fully stocked. I would advise a maximum of 35inches of fish. That would equate to arround 20 molly size fish. These are adverage waste producers, so to overstock, you would need filters capble of running a tank twice the size of the one you own IMO, to carry overstocking out suscessfuly. Also, fish behavior should be watched when overstocking, as this will tell you when tank occupants are starting to feel cramped.
