Are The Ceramic Eheim Media Reusable Or Do I Need New Ones?

got a second hand eheim external canister and it has the ceramic tube thingys that look a bit like pasta in it they have been used for god nows how long but if i wasto clean them thogoughly and dry them out are they as good as new or do i need need ones???obviously i need to mature the whole canister and tank.that i do know!

yup clean them thoroughly and rinse. I'd also immerse them in an anti bacteria medication (say myxazin at the std dose) for a few mins then rinse again.
let them air dry then use them.

I think i would try boiling them... perhaps try a small amount first to make sure they survive !
