Are Pacu's Able To Defend Themselves Against Agressive Cichlids

I was just wondering in case I ever decided to get one. It would definantly sway my decision.

They tend to do fine with cichlids in my experience - thats in the brief amount of time before they outgrow whatever size tank you keep them in

i had one and it grew to 14 inch in little over a year from 2 inch and it started to get a little aggressive to other fish and ate them and i didn't at the time know they did this hope this helps because had i have been told they were like this when i got mine i would'nt have bought it

This will depend on the sp. of pacu, the sp. of cichlid and the size of the tank.
