If they're kept in a large school could they go in a peacful tank?

One of these questions that is easy to answer, but worrying. It is the questions not asked which are equally important.

Puntius padamya is not an aggressive species kept in the right way in an appropriate setup. Here, I mean a group of say ten fish, more females than males, kept in a large enough tank to hold ten 55-65mm, very active fish. In such a setup, they will generally ignore other fish unless they are small enough to be considered food items.

In small groups, pairs or singly they can chase when stressed, but as I said, they are not openly aggressive.

I had mine in a 4 foot tank with other barbs and some small tetras.

Okay, i was thinking these would be as agressive as the Tiger Barbs i had. I had them in a school of 9 and they would tear eachothers fins.

Nothing like Tiger Barbs, as I said, correctly kept, they are a eminently likeable species.
