Hi,
Are my tanks stocked correctly? ...I just want to know because while reading a few posts, I kind of figured that most people here are really keen on having correctly stocked tanks and well I don't want to be accused of anything I didn't mean

I know you're okay with the oscars..dunno about the others....

Yeah... the Oscars sound alright ^__^
I think the 10 Gallon as well... I have a friend who keeps 10 white cloud mountain minnows in a 8 Gallon so in a way your 10 Gallon is just fine!
sorry... but I don't know about the rest, never kept those fish before and well I don't know much about them either...

I'm not sure because I'm not familiar wiht the fish you keep, but I think if they have enough space to swim around, if tehy are stress- and disease- free and if your water params are fine, then they're ok.

I personally would not put danios in a 10g because I think they need more room to swim round as they are such fast, active fish, but this is a matter of opinion.

Everything looks fine to me providing you keep on top of maintenance, good to see a Chocolate Gourami tank and well stocked to. The Brackish Tanks look good to, weldone. :)

You really think so ryan? Thanks

Thank you as well clutterydrawer, I didn't know that about danio  I always make sure they are healthy and happy so that has to count for something, dosen't it?
My other fish are also healthy and happy, I haven't had any really bad disasters and I hope I never do.

Thanks again :flowers:

Its not a must, but as you probably know, danios are very active fish, which is why they prefer a bigger tank as it means more space to swim around in.

P.T.

You have archer fish! and mudskippers! I hate you! lol

All those tanks look fine to me. I really want to get some archer fsh again and I'd love some mudskippers but my lfs has stopped stocking them :(

So do you think my danio would be happier if I placed them in a larger tank Phantom Thief? I don't want to be cruel to my danio and I want the best for them. I could always get a 15 Gallon and give back my 10 Gallon to the Fish Store.

Thanks K-Holed, I really love my Archers and Mudskippers. Why don't you look for another fish store that might stock them? It could work.

I guess that is a yes then? :D I wouldn't cost too much so I guess it's a good idea as well. I'll try to buy the 15 Gallon this week and move my danio inside after it has cycled. I do would like it that my danio will be happier.

Thank you Phantom Thief :)

Just another question, sorry. Will I be able to add any other fish in the 15 Gallon with my danio? It is a larger tank I am putting them in.

I'm sure if you look after them well they are perfectly happy :) but if there's any possibility of getting that bigger tank, then go for it! Your danios will love you even more. ;) If you have good filtration and maintenance I think it'd be ok to add some more fish, in a 15g tank. How about some small bottom feeders like cories or otos? They wouldn't encroach on the danios' space cos they feed off the substrate, they're cute, and otos are efficient algae eaters.

I'm not sure, I'm not familiar with that particular species. I would go for pandas cos tehy are smaller (and cuter! ) but if you want leopards and have sufficient filtration to keep the tank clean, then it should be ok. Remember to get appropriate substrate for them though. :)
