So ive recently taken everything from my 20 gallon and put it in my 36 gallon. i double the amount of live plants and added a few new fish. i just added 6 amano shrimp so the total is now 9. when the shrimp were in the 20 gallon they would usualy come out and walk around a lot on the wood. since i rescaped and added the new ones they are all 1 inch under the surface hanging onto the filters.

my question is are the amanos just taking it easy the first couple days until they get settled? or is it the new fish that i added? i remember amanos being a very strong shrimp...would any of these fish be a threat?

i just added
3 inland rainbowfish
2 Keyhole cichlids and 4 more neons.

i already had 6 harlequin rosboras, 6 neons, 4 corys, 3 khulis and two small plec species.

thanks...i bought the shrimp to be seen grazing the aquascape but if a couple of these fish are threats let me know!

Yeah, they're probably just getting settled like my pakistani loach did to my tank.

However, they might be a bit scared of the K.H Cichlids?

Take them time to settle in, but I imagine they may be wary of the keyholes, although a peaceful enough cichlid, they might still see the amanos (depending on their size) as a tasty treat.

What are your water stats like?

Sounds like odd behavior to me - maybe you have a small spike due to the change of tank?
