I was feeding them this morning and in the corner i found a a burrow! the perfect shape of a circle  it looks like a meteorate has landed in my tank because the circle is so perfect! Both rams are chasing the other fish off and staying very close together although i cant see any eggs? Is this spawning behaviour?

sure is, mine did the same today :D (3rd time lucky!!)

See if the female is fat and has he tube (lol scientific term here) poking out, mine usually use rocks as it is easier to clean, you may want to add some sometime.

Good luck!

Ive got back from college and the burrow has been dug over. The female is plump and has the best colouration ive seen since i bought her although i can't see any tube
Ill keep a lookout too see if i can spot anything although they've stopped chasing off other fish.
Strange... -_-

sounds like alot of eggs

they will start cleaning somewhere soon. They ever done this before, it may take a few tries :)

Well mine were laid last night, eaten this morning

atm I dont have to time to focus breeding them, but im definatly going to activly reduce the gardness of my water, the main reason mine fungass and are eaten

Dont worry if they get eaten, you should get some more in around 2 weeks

Hey again everyone :)

I've seen a burrow again this morning and saw some grey round things which i guess are eggs?

I've googled it and they looked the same, Rams eggs are HUGE compered to Corydoras eggs if that's what they were.

Sadly the parents were having a snack off the eggs as i had arrived so i don't think there are anymore left but it's a good sign to me...

How long until they'll try again?

Thanks Dan :)

gEdit: Just re-read the thread and got the answer from Seb, Thanks very much just though u'd like to know how things were going :)
