I have a couple of parrot fish ive had about a week, they are destroying my substrate
they are diggin holes in it near slate this has happened 3 times now but the first two times i had to push all the substrate back due to having white spot in the tank and having to do a water change and treat it and despite having ich in the tank the parrots dont seem to be effected by it as yet.
Whats funny is seeing my two parrot fish mainly the larger one taking the substarte in his mouth and spit it out somewere else and when my oscars come near (they are abot 5 times bigger than the parrots), the parrot fish rear up and fend them off its quite comical to watch.
Ive read this could be breeding behaviour or are they genrally like this.
