hi, i have 4 kribs(1 male, 3 female) along with many small community fish in my 4ft tank. two of them are often digging under a piece of bogwood which they guard for a few days then give up. but since yesterday they have dug under it a lot more than before, and the male is with a different female that hasn't spawned before, so is there some hope. i can see the females egg tube is wide open today, so when about might she spawn. i know the male is fertile, as there were some babies from 1 of the other females a while ago, but they never made it past a couple of days old. i have more plants then before for cover, so i'm hoping that they will be successful this time. i feed them live earthworms every Saturday, but i won't tomorrow so i don't disturb them. the male is guarding from the outside of the wood, while the female is under it, so i'm staying hopeful.

cheers :good:

hi, this morning the parents were guarding about 12 little fry. :hyper: they have already absorbed their yolk sacs, and they appear to be feeding on some microscopic food on my bogwood? do i need to feed them anything, and if so what is the best food for them? i have read that it isn't necessary to feed them at first and that they will just grow a lot slower. is this true?

cheers :good:
