I have 4 sterbais in a 20 gallon (im planning to move up to a 55 gallon very soon)

Is it just me or are these little guys kinda hyperactive? My question is, do they have adhd?

They swim up and down the glass 50 plus times before resting on the bottom for a little then next minute up down up down up down.... it seems all they do is swim against the glass really fast and they never stop.

Werid little fish they are but so cute, i want more!

If you just got them it's a kind of stress-release. Nothing to worry about. Lot's of Corys show that, but Sterbai are known for it (new tank, new waterparameters, new..... new...............)
They'll settle down after some days.

When they start to show this behaviour later on, it's spwaninig behaviour indeed.

Cheers,
Aad

My 3 cories are like that. They are very active. Always looking for food and swimming up and down the glass then rest every once in a while.

Once you get to understand your corys you will be able to tell happy swimming from spawning behavior or even nervousness, ect... If your water is ok I wouldn't worry.

They also slow down a bit as they age. My fry would spend hours running along the glass. The elders, only when feeling frisky.

Sounds like they could be getting ready to spawn
