Planted tanks? I jsut orded one but reading up on it think I might have to cancel! do they cause algae problems? I already have 2 arcadia oringinal compacts in my tank at the moment and adding the triplus 18w as the 3rd! but im kinda thinking I should of gone for the daylight plus!

What exactly do you mean? You have just ordered an aquarium and you have a second one with 2 arcadia oringinal compacts on on your tank setup.Or has the aquarum already come>Do you have one planted tank already and setting up another? Planted tanks can have algae just like all tanks. Most the time when people have algae in their planted tank it's from high lighting and excess nutrients. You can combat algae by planting many fast growers (which use up nutrients which algae needs)when you set up the tank.Having a co2 kit also helps, with cleaner fish/shrimp like ottos, cheery shrimp and amano shrimp.I don't exactly know what you mean so i can't help you much anyway

I ment as it read....Are Interpet Triplus compacts Ok For planted tanks I have 2 lights in my tank already and im makeing an upgrade by addin a 18w triplus was this ok or should i gone for the daylight plus? I have 2 arcadia original compacts already in there!

Both the daylight and triplus are excellent for planted tanks. But as Cheese feet said, all light promotes algae its the nature of the beast, unfortunately! You can't add things to a tank that help the plants without also helping the algae, but in order to get decent plant growth you need to add those things! Catch 22 hey?

I would leave the tubes on order :)
