they are brackish water fish? correct me if i'm wrong. i want one(there again i want alot of stuff) but i don't have a brackish water tank. they are so different from other fish in the way they spit and the like.

:good:

yeah i fort that they were brakish but the fish shop has slowly introduced them to freshwater and there in his big show tank with kribs and clown loaches and angels and a few other fish

he has only got 3 left and only 6.99 each there about 2 inches

Slowly introducing them to freshwater is just a way of slowly killing them, all the archer fish species available in the hobby require brackish water of some degree or another and keeping them in totally freshwater will eventually kill them.

Be careful if the shop you want to buy them from is acclaimating them to Fresh water...they are Brackish Water fish. I have two very healthy Archer fish who came from Brackish water, but before these ones I others from Freshwater and they never survived...They are beautiful and amazing fish, great personalities, very friendly and really fun to feed. These are my favorite, non marine fish... Try to buy them before they are in true freshwater if you want them...

Wildwoods is an exception here, the freshwater archer fish they are selling are from a small freshwater wild population of Toxotes chatareus collected by a small independent exporter and as far as any one knows Wildwoods are the only UK company dealing with the exporter at this time.
